• மாநில பெரும்பரப்பு இணையம் (State Wide Area Network) என்பது இந்திய அரசின் தேசிய இணைய அரசு திட்ட செயல்பாட்டுக்கு பயன்படுத்தக்கூடிய ஒரு முக்கிய கட்டமைப்பு ஆகும். 
• இதன் மூலம் மாநில தலைமையகம், மாவட்ட தலைமையகம், மற்றும் தொகுதி தலைமையகம் இணையம் மூலம் இணைக்கப்படும். இந்த செயல் திட்டம் 2005 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் அனுமதி அளிக்கப்பட்டு நடைமுறையில் உள்ளது.
• இந்த திட்டம் தகவல் தொழில்நுட்பத்துறையின் கட்டுப்பாட்டின் கீழ் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டது. இந்த திட்டத்தால் இந்த இணையத்தை பயன்படுத்தும் அனைத்து அரசு துறைகளும் அதிவேக பாதுகாப்பான வரையறுக்கப்பட்ட பயனர் குழு உருவாக்கப்படும்.
• இதன் மூலம் தரவுகள் மற்றும் பல்லூடகம் பரிமாற்றம் மற்றும் பரிவர்த்தனை செய்ய முடியும். இந்திய நாட்டில் உள்ள 31 மாநிலம் மற்றும் யூணின் பிரதேசத்தில் இத்திட்டம் செயல்பாட்டில் உள்ளது.

• The State Wide Area Network is a key infrastructure for the implementation of the National Internet Government Project of the Government of India. 
• Through this the state headquarters, district headquarters, and block headquarters will be connected through internet. This action plan has been sanctioned and operational since 2005.
• This project has been brought under the control of IT department. This project will create a high-speed secure defined user group for all government departments using this internet through which data and multimedia can be exchanged and transacted. The scheme is operational in 31 states and Union Territories of India.
