- பெரும்பாலான சமூகங்களில், திருமணத்தின் போது ஒரு பெண் தங்கத்தால் செய்யப்பட்ட “திருமாங்கல்யம்” அணிவது ஒரு வழக்கமான கலாச்சாரத் தேவையாகும்.
- மேலும் பெற்றோர்கள் அவர்களின் பழக்கவழக்கங்கள் மற்றும் கலாச்சார பின்னணியின்படி திருமண விழாவைக் கொண்டாடுகிறார்கள்.
- இருப்பினும், பொருளாதாரத்தில் பின்தங்கிய பிரிவைச் சேர்ந்த பெற்றோர்கள் தங்கள் பெண் குழந்தைகளின் திருமணச் செலவுகளைச் சமாளிக்க முடியாமல் தவிக்கின்றனர்.
- அத்தகைய பெற்றோருக்கு உதவவும், அவர்களின் மகள்களை சரியான வயது வரை படிக்க ஊக்குவிக்கவும், அரசாங்கத்தால் திருமண உதவித் திட்டம் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டது.
- ஏழைப் பெற்றோரின் மகள்கள், அனாதை பெண்கள், மறுமணம் செய்து கொள்ளும் விதவைகள், விதவைகள் மகள் திருமணம் மற்றும் சாதிக்கு இடையே திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ளும் தம்பதிகளுக்கு உதவும் வகையில் ஐந்து திருமண உதவித் திட்டங்கள் செயல்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன.
கல்வித் தகுதி
- மணமகள் 10 ஆம் வகுப்பு தேர்ச்சி பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும், தனியார் / தொலைதூரக் கல்வியில் படித்திருந்தால், மணமகள் 10 ஆம் வகுப்பு தேர்ச்சி பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும், பட்டியல் பழங்குடியினராக இருந்தால் மணமகள் V வகுப்பு வரை படித்திருக்க வேண்டும்.
- 25,000 ECS மூலம் செலுத்தப்பட்டது.
கல்வித் தகுதி
- ரெகுலர் கல்லூரிகளில் பட்டம் பெற்றவர்கள், தொலைதூரக் கல்வி / அரசு அங்கீகாரம் பெற்ற திறந்தநிலைப் பல்கலைக்கழகம் ஆகியவற்றில் பட்டம் பெற்றவர்கள் தகுதியுடையவர்கள், டிப்ளமோ முடித்தவர்கள் தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் தொழில்நுட்பக் கல்வி இயக்குநரகத்தால் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட நிறுவனத்தில் தகுதி பெற்றிருக்க வேண்டும்.
- 50,000 ECS மூலம் செலுத்தப்பட்டது.
- இத்திட்டத்தின் கீழ் பயன் பெற, குடும்பத்தின் ஆண்டு வருமானம் ரூ.72,000க்கு மிகாமல் இருக்க வேண்டும்.
- இத்திட்டத்தின் கீழ், "திருமாங்கல்யம்" தயாரிப்பதற்கு 4 கிராம் 22 காரட் தங்க நாணயத்துடன் இசிஎஸ் மூலம் ரூ.15,000 நிதியுதவியும், தேசிய சேமிப்புச் சான்றிதழாக ரூ.10,000ம் வழங்கப்படுகிறது.
- இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் பயன் பெற வருமான உச்சவரம்பு மற்றும் கல்வித் தகுதி எதுவும் நிர்ணயிக்கப்படவில்லை.
- பட்டம் / டிப்ளமோ பெற்றவர்களுக்கு 50,000 வழங்கப்படுகிறது, அதில் 30,000 ECS மூலமாகவும், `20,000 தேசிய சேமிப்புச் சான்றிதழுடன் "திருமாங்கல்யம்" தயாரிப்பதற்கு 4 கிராம் 22 காரட் தங்க நாணயமும் வழங்கப்படுகிறது.
- இத்திட்டத்தின் கீழ் பயன் பெற, குடும்பத்தின் ஆண்டு வருமானம் ரூ.72,000க்கு மிகாமல் இருக்க வேண்டும்.
- இந்தத் திருமண உதவித் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் பயன் பெறுவதற்கு வருமான உச்சவரம்பு எதுவும் இல்லை.
- இத்திட்டத்தின் கீழ் ரூ.25,000 ரொக்க உதவி வழங்கப்படுகிறது, அதில் ரூ.15,000 இசிஎஸ் மூலமாகவும், ரூ10,000 தேசிய சேமிப்புச் சான்றிதழாகவும், 4 கிராம் 22 காரட் தங்க நாணயத்துடன் “திருமாங்கல்யம்” தயாரிப்பதற்கும் வழங்கப்படுகிறது.
- "திருமாங்கல்யம்" தயாரிப்பதற்கு 4 கிராம் 22 காரட் தங்க நாணயத்துடன் பட்டம் / டிப்ளமோ பெற்றவர்கள் `50,000, அதில் `30,000 ECS மூலமாகவும், `20,000 தேசிய சேமிப்புச் சான்றிதழாகவும் வழங்கப்படுகிறது.
- வருமான உச்சவரம்பு மற்றும் குறைந்தபட்ச கல்வித் தகுதி எதுவும் நிர்ணயிக்கப்படவில்லை.
- இனங்களுக்கு இடையேயான திருமண வகை – I : சாதிக்கு இடையேயான திருமணமான தம்பதிகளின் வாழ்க்கைத் துணைவர்களில் ஒருவர் பட்டியல் சாதி அல்லது பட்டியல் பழங்குடியினராக இருக்க வேண்டும், மற்ற மனைவி வேறு சமூகத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவராக இருக்கலாம்.
- வகை – II: வாழ்க்கைத் துணைவர்களில் ஒருவர் முன்னோக்கி அல்லது பிற சமூகத்தைச் சார்ந்தவராகவும், மற்ற மனைவி BC/MBC யைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களாகவும் இருக்க வேண்டும்.
- In most communities, it is a customary cultural requirement for a girl to wear “Thirumangalyam” made of gold during marriage and the parents celebrate the marriage function according to their customs and cultural backgrounds.
- However, parents from economically weaker sections are not able to cope with the burden of expenses towards the marriage of their daughters.
- In order to help such parents and to encourage them to educate their daughters till the right age, Marriage Assistance Schemes were introduced by the Government.
- Five Marriage Assistance Schemes are implemented to help the daughters of poor parents, orphan girls, widows who re-marry, widows daughter’s marriage and inter-caste married couples.
Education Qualification
- The bride should have studied 10th Std pass, If studied in private / Distance Education, bride should have passed 10th std, Bride should have studied up to V Std in case of Scheduled Tribe.
- 25,000 paid through ECS.
Education Qualification
- Degree holders from regular colleges, Distance education / Government recognized Open University are eligible, Diploma holders should have qualified from the Institution recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu.
- 50,000 paid through ECS.
- To avail benefit under this scheme, the annual income of the family should not exceed `72,000.
- Under this scheme, financial assistance of `15,000 is given through ECS and `10,000 as National Savings Certificate along with 4 gram 22 carat gold coin for making “Thirumangalyam”.
- There is no income ceiling and educational qualification prescribed to avail benefit under this scheme.
- The degree / diploma holders are given 50,000, out of which, 30,000 is given through ECS and `20,000 is given as National Savings Certificate along with 4 gram 22 carat gold coin for making “Thirumangalyam”.
- To avail benefit under this scheme, the annual income of the family should not exceed `72,000.
- There is no income ceiling for availing benefit under this marriage assistance scheme.
- Cash assistance of `25,000 is given under this scheme, out of which `15,000 is given through ECS and `10,000 in the form of National Saving Certificate along with 4 gram 22 carat gold coin for making “Thirumangalyam”.
- The degree / diploma holders receive `50,000 out of which `30,000 is given through ECS and `20,000 as National Saving Certificate along with 4 gram 22 carat gold coin for making “Thirumangalyam”.
- There is no income ceiling and minimum educational qualification stipulated.
- Types of Inter-caste Marriage Category – I : Either of the spouse of the Inter-caste married couples should be from Scheduled caste or Scheduled Tribe while the other spouse may be from any other Community.
- Category – II : Either of the spouse should be from forward or other community and the other spouse from BC/MBC.
