23rd MARCH - MARTYRS DAY 2024 / தியாகிகள் தினம் 2024: நாட்டிற்காக உயிர் தியாகம் செய்த சுதந்திர போராட்ட வீரர்களை கவுரவிக்கும் வகையில் தியாகிகள் தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. ஆண்டு முழுவதும் ஏழு வெவ்வேறு நாட்களில், தியாகிகள் தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.

அதாவது ஜனவரி 30, மார்ச் 23, மே 19, அக்டோபர் 21, நவம்பர் 17, நவம்பர் 19 மற்றும் நவம்பர் 24. ஜனவரி 30 அன்று, மகாத்மாவைக் கௌரவிக்கும் வகையில் தியாகிகள் தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. 

ஷஹீத் திவாஸ் என்றும் அழைக்கப்படும் தியாகிகள் தினம் இந்தியாவில் இரண்டு தேதிகளில் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. மார்ச் 23 அன்று, பகத் சிங், சிவராம் ராஜ்குரு மற்றும் சுக்தேவ் தாப்பர் ஆகிய மூன்று துணிச்சலான சுதந்திரப் போராளிகளை ஆங்கிலேயர்கள் தூக்கிலிட்டனர். மகாத்மா காந்தியின் மரணம், ஜனவரி 30, தியாகிகள் தினம் அல்லது ஷஹீத் திவாஸ் என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

"ஷாஹீத் திவாஸ் அல்லது தியாகிகள் தினம், இந்தியாவில் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஜனவரி 30 அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. ஜனவரி 30, 1948 அன்று பிர்லா ஹவுஸில் மாலை தொழுகையின் போது மகாத்மா காந்தியை நாதுராம் கோட்சே சுட்டுக் கொன்றார். 

இதன் விளைவாக, நாடு மகாத்மாவை நினைவு கூர்கிறது. காந்தியின் நினைவு தினம் ஜனவரி 30ஆம் தேதி தியாகிகள் தினமாக அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.

இந்த நாளில், டெல்லியில் உள்ள ராஜ்காட்டில் உள்ள அவரது சமாதிக்கு ஜனாதிபதி, துணை ஜனாதிபதி, பிரதமர், பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சர் மற்றும் மூன்று சேவைத் தலைவர்கள் (இராணுவம், விமானப்படை மற்றும் கடற்படை) மலர் மாலை அணிவித்தனர். காலை 11 மணிக்கு, இந்திய தியாகிகளின் நினைவாக நாடு முழுவதும் இரண்டு நிமிட மவுன அஞ்சலி செலுத்தப்படுகிறது.

தேசத்தின் தந்தை என்று அழைக்கப்படும் மகாத்மா காந்தி, காலனித்துவ எதிர்ப்பு தேசபக்தர் ஆவார், அவர் அகிம்சை எதிர்ப்பின் மூலம் பிரிட்டிஷ் ஆட்சியிலிருந்து இந்தியாவின் சுதந்திரத்திற்கான வெற்றிகரமான இயக்கத்தை வழிநடத்தினார்.

Martyrs' Day is observed to honour those freedom fighters who have sacrificed their lives in the service of their country. On seven different days throughout the year, Martyrs' Day is observed, that is, January 30, March 23, May 19, October 21, November 17, November 19, and November 24. On January 30, Martyr's Day is commemorated to honour Mahatma Gandhi.

Martyrs' Day, also known as Shaheed Diwas, is observed on two dates in India. On March 23rd, the British hanged three brave independence warriors, Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar. Mahatma Gandhi's death, January 30, is also known as Martyrs' Day or Shaheed Diwas.

"Shaheed Diwas or Martyrs' Day, is observed every year on January 30 in India. On January 30, 1948, Mahatma Gandhi was shot and assassinated by Nathuram Godse during his evening prayers at the Birla House. As a result, the country remembers Mahatma Gandhi's death anniversary as Martyrs' Day on January 30th.

On this day, the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Defence Minister, and three Service Chiefs (Army, Air Force, and Navy) offer flower wreaths at his Samadhi at Raj Ghat in Delhi. At 11 a.m., a two-minute silence is observed across the country in commemoration of Indian martyrs.

Mahatma Gandhi, popularly known as the Father of the Nation, was an anti-colonial patriot who led a successful movement for India's independence from British rule via nonviolent resistance. He sparked worldwide campaigns for civil rights and freedom, as well as strengthening the nation's cohesiveness.

Nathuram Godse killed Gandhi on January 30, 1948. India commemorates his contribution to the country's independence on January 30. On January 30, all states and UTs observe two minutes of silence, as directed by the central government.

Gandhi remained away from politics after India's independence in 1947 and instead focused on promoting unity, peace, and brotherhood among the people.
