• மத்திய நிதி மற்றும் கார்ப்பரேட் விவகாரங்களுக்கான அமைச்சர் திருமதி. நிர்மலா சீதாராமன் சர்வதேச நாணய நிதியம் (IMF) - உலக வங்கி (WB) வசந்த கால கூட்டத் தொடர்களில் இன்று வாஷிங்டன் D.C இல் இலங்கையின் கடன் பிரச்சினைகள் குறித்த உயர்மட்ட கூட்டத்தில் நிர்மலா சீதாராமன் பங்கேற்றார்.
• ஜப்பான் நிதியமைச்சர் திரு. சுசுகி ஷுனிச்சி, பிரான்ஸ் கருவூல பொது இயக்குனர் திரு. இம்மானுவேல் மௌலின் மற்றும் இலங்கையின் நிதி அமைச்சர் திரு. ஷெஹான் சேமசிங்க ஆகியோர் இந்த சந்திப்பில் கலந்துகொண்டனர். இலங்கையின் ஜனாதிபதியும் நிதியமைச்சருமான திரு. ரணில் விக்கிரமசிங்க காணொளி வாயிலாக இதில் கலந்து கொண்டார்
• இந்நிகழ்வின் நோக்கமானது இலங்கையுடன் இணைந்து கடன் வழங்குவதில் கடன் மறுசீரமைப்பு செயல்முறை தொடர்பான பலதரப்பு ஒத்துழைப்பை நிரூபிப்பதாகும். 
• இந்நிகழ்வில், இலங்கையின் ஒருங்கிணைந்த கடன் மறுசீரமைப்பை வழிநடத்த இந்தியா, ஜப்பான் மற்றும் பிரான்ஸ் ஆகிய மூன்று இணைத் தலைவர்களின் கீழ் இலங்கை மீதான கடன் மறுசீரமைப்பு பேச்சுவார்த்தை செயல்முறையை தொடங்குவதாக அமைச்சர்கள் அறிவித்தனர்.
• மத்திய நிதி அமைச்சர் திருமதி. நிர்மலா சீதாராமன் தற்போதைய பொருளாதார நெருக்கடியை கையாள்வதில் இலங்கைக்கு ஆதரவளிக்கும் இந்தியாவின் உறுதிப்பாட்டை வெளிப்படுத்தினார். 
• கடன் மறுசீரமைப்பு விவாதங்களில் அனைத்து கடனாளிகளையும் நடத்துவதில் வெளிப்படைத்தன்மை மற்றும் சமத்துவத்தை உறுதிப்படுத்த கடனாளர்களிடையே ஒரு ஒத்துழைப்பு முக்கியமானது என்று அவர் வலியுறுத்தினார்.

• Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman Nirmala Sitharaman participated in a high-level meeting on Sri Lanka's debt issues at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) - World Bank (WB) spring meetings in Washington D.C. today.
• Finance Minister of Japan Mr. Suzuki Shunichi, Director General of the French Treasury Mr. Emmanuel Moulin and Finance Minister of Sri Lanka Mr. Shehan Semasinghe participated in this meeting. Sri Lanka's President and Finance Minister Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe participated in it through video
• The objective of the event was to demonstrate multilateral cooperation in the debt restructuring process in joint lending with Sri Lanka. On the occasion, the Ministers announced the launch of the Debt Restructuring Negotiation Process on Sri Lanka under the three co-chairs of India, Japan and France to lead the integrated debt restructuring of Sri Lanka.
• Union Finance Minister Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman expressed India's commitment to support Sri Lanka in dealing with the current economic crisis. He stressed that a collaboration among creditors is important to ensure transparency and equality in treating all creditors in debt restructuring discussions.
