உள்நாட்டில் வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டு கட்டமைக்கப்பட்ட ஐஎன்எஸ் கவரட்டி, மே 14-19 வரை இந்தியா-இந்தோனேசியா இருதரப்பு பயிற்சியான சமுத்ரா சக்தி-23 இன் 4வது பதிப்பில் பங்கேற்பதற்காக இந்தோனேசியாவின் படாமிற்கு வந்தடைந்தது.
இந்திய கடற்படையின் டோர்னியர் கடல்சார் ரோந்து விமானம் மற்றும் சேடக் ஹெலிகாப்டர் ஆகியவையும் இதில் பங்கேற்கின்றன.
இந்தோனேசிய கடற்படையைச் சேர்ந்த கேஆர்ஐ சுல்தான் இஸ்கந்தர் முடா, சிஎன் 235 கடல்சார் ரோந்து விமானம் மற்றும் பாந்தர் ஹெலிகாப்டர் ஆகியவை பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்துகின்றன.
சமுத்திர சக்தி பயிற்சியானது இரு கடற்படைகளுக்கும் இடையே இயங்கக்கூடிய தன்மை, கூட்டு மற்றும் பரஸ்பர ஒத்துழைப்பை மேம்படுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
தொழில்முறை தொடர்புகள், நிபுணத்துவ பரிமாற்றங்கள் மற்றும் விளையாட்டு சாதனங்கள் ஆகியவை பயிற்சியில் அடங்கும். கடல் பயிற்சியின் போது, ஆயுதம் வீசுதல், ஹெலிகாப்டர் செயல்பாடுகள், நீர்மூழ்கி எதிர்ப்பு போர், வான் பாதுகாப்பு பயிற்சிகள் ஆகியவை மேற்கொள்ளப்படும்.

The indigenously designed and built INS Kavarati arrived in Batam, Indonesia to participate in the 4th edition of the India-Indonesia bilateral exercise Samudra Shakti-23 from May 14-19.
Indian Navy's Tornier maritime patrol aircraft and Chetak helicopters are also participating. Represented by KRI Sultan Iskandar Muda, CN 235 maritime patrol aircraft and Panther helicopter from the Indonesian Navy.
The Maritime Power Exercise aims to enhance interoperability, joint and mutual cooperation between the two navies.
Training includes professional interactions, professional exchanges and sports equipment. During the sea exercise, weapon launch, helicopter operations, anti-submarine warfare and air defense exercises will be carried out.
