2010 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல், சர்வதேச சிவப்பு பாண்டா தினம் (IRPD) ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் செப்டம்பர் மூன்றாவது சனிக்கிழமையன்று உலகம் முழுவதும் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. 

சிவப்பு பாண்டா அனைத்து பாண்டா இனங்களில் முதன்மையானது மற்றும் இது கருப்பு மற்றும் வெள்ளை பாண்டாவிற்கு அரை நூற்றாண்டுக்கு முன்பே கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டது.

International Red Panda Day was established by the Red Panda Network in 2010 to raise the alarm regarding the decreasing population of this species. Red pandas are also known as the first pandas because they were founded around 50 years before the black and white pandas.
