NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY 2023 - 14TH DECEMBER / தேசிய எரிசக்தி சேமிப்பு தினம் 2023 - டிசம்பர் 14: மனிதகுலம் எப்போதும் இயற்கை மூலங்களைப் பயன்படுத்துவதற்கான வழிகளைக் கண்டறிந்துள்ளது. நமது புத்திசாலித்தனமும், புத்திசாலித்தனமும் நம்மை இவ்வளவு தூரம் வரச் செய்துள்ளது.

சுகமான வாழ்க்கை வாழ நாள் முழுவதும் பல்வேறு சாதனங்களைப் பயன்படுத்துகிறோம். நிச்சயமாக, அதில் எந்தத் தீங்கும் இல்லை. நாம் ஆற்றலை வீணாக்கத் தொடங்கும் போது பிரச்சனை தொடங்குகிறது.

பூமியில் எஞ்சியிருக்கும் ஆற்றல் வளங்கள் எஞ்சியிருந்தால் நிலைமை எவ்வளவு பயங்கரமாக இருக்கும் என்பதை அவர்கள் சிந்திப்பதில்லை. நம்மில் பெரும்பாலோர் பயன்படுத்தும் வளங்கள் புதுப்பிக்க முடியாதவை, மேலும் புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்கவை இன்னும் முன்னேறவில்லை மற்றும் உலகம் முழுவதும் பயன்படுத்தக்கூடிய அளவிற்கு அணுகக்கூடியவை.

NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY 2023 - 14TH DECEMBER: Since their existence, humankind has always found ways to make the most of natural sources. Our intelligence and presence of mind have made us come this far. Now we cannot imagine a life without energy consumption. However, we are very much aware of the harm we cause because of our excessive energy consumption.

We must also understand that it's our responsibility to secure enough energy for the upcoming generations. And for that, we need to use the energy moderately and save as much as possible. This is something that most people fail to understand; they don't find it necessary to save energy for the future. 

They don't understand that their children may have to suffer because of their carelessness one day. To make people aware of climate change, global warming, and the need for conserving energy, 14 December is celebrated as the National Energy Conservation Day in India every year.

National Energy Conservation Day History

NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY 2023 - 14TH DECEMBER: Many discussions, debates, and conferences took place across India to observe National Energy Conservation Day as a success. The day has been celebrated across India with great enthusiasm every year on 14th December since 1991. 

To handle the issue of global warming and climate change, BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency) decided to implement the Energy Conservation Act back in the year 2001. BEE helps the government by sharing ideas for energy consumption and makes sure to make the National Energy Conservation Day a grand success every year by organizing various events across the country.

Importance of Energy Conservation

NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY 2023 - 14TH DECEMBER: We cannot imagine a moment in our life without energy; we need energy like we need air and water. We use various devices throughout the day to live a comfortable life. Of course, there's no harm in that. The problem begins when we start wasting energy.

As previously mentioned, some people don't spend time thinking about what their future generation might go through if they don't become cautious about their actions. They don't think about how horrible the situation would be if we had no resources of energy left on earth. The resources that most of us use are non-renewable, and the renewable ones are not yet advanced and accessible enough to be used worldwide.

Research says that the amount of energy we have left on earth will serve us only for up to the next 40 years. We have already caused enough harm to the earth, and now it's high time we start acknowledging it and take proper actions to make this world a better place. 

With moderate energy usage and proper conservation, we can slowly start improving the current scenario. Energy conservation is now a must to reduce the amount of strain we put on our environment. Plus, energy conservation will also help us save money as the electricity bill will be much lower.
