TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024 / தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி 2023 - 2024: 'சுற்றுலா, புதுமை காணும் ஆர்வத்தைத் தூண்டுகிறது. புத்துணர்ச்சி அளிக்கிறது; அறிவு வளர்ச்சிக்கும், ஆற்றலின் பெருக்கத்திற்கும் துணைபுரிகிறது. 

நாட்டின் பொருளாதாரத்தை வளர்ப்பதிலும், வேலை வாய்ப்புகள் வழங்குவதிலும் இன்று சுற்றுலாத்துறை பெரிய காரணியாக விளங்குகிறது. உலக அளவில் நாடுகளுக்கிடையே நல்லுறவை வளர்ப்பதிலும், மனித நாகரிகத்தை வளர்ப்பதிலும் முக்கிய பங்காற்றுகிறது.

உலகம் - இந்தியா - மாநில அளவில் சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024 / தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி 2023 - 2024: 2024 ம் ஆண்டில், உலக அளவில் ஏறத்தாழ 1.4 பில்லியன் சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகள் பயணம் செய்துள்ளனர். 

இது முந்தைய ஆண்டினை விட 11 சதவீதம் அதிகமாகும். இந்திய அளவில் வெளிநாட்டுச் சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளின் வருகை 2022 ல் 8.15 மில்லியன் 2023 ல் 19.25 மில்லியன்; இந்தியாவில் உள்நாட்டுச் சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளின் வருகை 2022 இல் 1731 மில்லியன் என்பது, 2023 இல் 2510 மில்லியனாக உயர்ந்துள்ளது.

இதே போல, தமிழ்நாட்டிற்கு வருகை தந்த வெளிநாட்டுச் சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகள் எண்ணிக்கை 2022 இல் 0.14 மில்லியன்; 2023 இல் இது 1.17 மில்லியனாக அதிகரித்துள்ளது. 

அதே போல, உள்நாட்டு சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகள் எண்ணிக்கை 2022 இல் 218.58 மில்லியன் என்பது, 2023 இல் 286 மில்லியனாக அதிகரித்துள்ளது. இந்தப்புள்ளி விவரங்கள் எல்லாம் மக்கள் இடையே சுற்றுலா குறித்து வளர்ந்துள்ள ஆர்வத்தைப் புலப்படுத்துகின்றன.

தமிழ்நாட்டில் சுற்றுலா வளம்

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024 / தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி 2023 - 2024: தமிழ்நாடு இயற்கை எழில் குலுங்கும் காட்சிகளை அதிகம் கொண்டுள்ளது. பழவேற்காடு முதல் கன்னியாகுமரி வரை 1076 கிலோமீட்டர் நீளமுள்ள கடற்கரைகளைக் கொண்டுள்ளது தமிழ்நாடு. 

உலகில் இரண்டாவது மிக நீளமான நகர்புற கடற்கரை தமிழ்நாட்டில் உண்டு. இந்தியாவின் மொத்த கடற்கரையில் இது 13 சதவீதத்திற்கு மேல் அதிகமாகும்.

மலைகளின் இளவரசி எனப் புகழப்படும் உதகமண்டலம், ஏலகிரி, கொல்லி மலை, ஏற்காடு முதலான பல மலைவளக் காட்சிகளும், குற்றாலம், பாபநாசம் திற்பரப்பு முதலிய பல நீர்வீழ்ச்சிகளும், தஞ்சைப் பெரிய கோயில், கங்கை கொண்ட சோழபுரம், மாமல்லபுரம் கடற்கரை கோயில், மதுரை மீனாட்சியம்மன் கோயில், சிதம்பரம் நடராசர் பெருங்கோயில், திருவரங்கம் அரங்கநாதன் திருக்கோயில், முருகனின் அறுபடை வீடுகள் முதலிய பல தெய்வீகச் சுற்றுலா மையங்களும் வேடந்தாங்கல் பறவைகள் சரணாலயம், முதுமலை வனவிலங்கு சரணாலயம், கோடியக்கரை வனவிலங்கு மற்றும் பறவைகள் சரணாலயம் முதலிய பல சரணாலயங்களும் அமைந்து சுற்றுலாத் துறை வளர்ச்சிக்கு ஊட்டமளிக்கின்றன.

தமிழ்நாட்டைக் கண்டு மகிழ்வோம்

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024 / தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி 2023 - 2024: ஆண்டுதோறும் செப்டம்பர் திங்கள் 27 ஆம் நாள் உலக சுற்றுலா தினம் கடைப்பிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. 2024 ஆம் ஆண்டு சுற்றுலா தினத்தையொட்டி மாமல்லபுரம், தஞ்சாவூர், இராமேஸ்வரம், மதுரை, செட்டிநாடு ஆகிய இடங்களுக்கு தமிழ்நாட்டை கண்டு மகிழ்வோம் எனும் சிறப்புச் சுற்றுலாப் பயணம் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது.

தமிழ்நாட்டின் முக்கிய விழாக்கள்

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024 / தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி 2023 - 2024: மதுரை சித்திரைத் திருவிழா, ஏற்காடு, கொடைக்கானல், ஜவ்வாது மலை முதலிய இடங்களில் கோடைவிழா, குற்றாலம், சுருளி அருவி முதலிய இடங்களில் சாரல் விழா, கொல்லி மலையில் வல்வில் ஓரி திருவிழா, பொங்கல் விழா முதலான பல்வேறு விழாக்கள் ஆண்டு தோறும் நடைபெற்று உள்நாட்டு வெளிநாட்டுச் சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளுக்கு விருந்தளிக்கின்றன.

மாமல்லபுரத்தில் இந்திய நாட்டிய விழா

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024 / தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி 2023 - 2024: ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் டிசம்பர் முதல் ஜனவரி வரை மாமல்லபுரத்தில் புகழ்பெற்ற "இந்திய நாட்டிய விழா" நடத்தப்படுகிறது. ஒரு மாத காலம் நடைபெறும் இந்திய நாட்டிய விழாவில் இந்தியாவின் அனைத்து பகுதிகளிலுமிருந்து வருகை புரியும் நடனக்கலைஞர்கள், செழுமையான பலதரப்பட்ட இந்திய நாட்டிய கலைகளை வழங்குகிறார்கள்.

அற்புதமான இந்திய நாட்டிய விழா கொண்டாட்டத்தைக் காண ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் வரலாற்றுச் சிறப்புமிக்க மாமல்லபுரத்திற்கு உள்நாடு மற்றும் வெளிநாடுகளில் இருந்து ஆயிரக்கணக்கான சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகள் வருகை புரிகிறார்கள். 

இத்துடன், திருவிடந்தையில் சர்வதேச பலூன் திருவிழா, சர்வதேச காத்தாடி திருவிழா முதலிய விழாக்களும் சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளை ஈர்க்கின்றன.

4000 கிலோ மீட்டர் நீள இரயில் பாதை வசதிகள், சாலை வசதிகள், சென்னை தூத்துக்குடி, எண்ணூர், நாகை ஆகிய முக்கிய துறைமுகங்கள், 17 சிறு துறைமுகங்கள் விரைவான விமானப் போக்குவரத்துக்கு உதவும் சென்னை, மதுரை, திருச்சி, கோவை ஆகிய சர்வதேச விமான நிலையங்கள் சேலம், தூத்துக்குடி முதலிய உள்நாட்டு விமான நிலையங்கள் ஆகியவை சுற்றுலாத் துறை வளர்ச்சிக்குப் பெரிதும் துணை புரிகின்றன.

கருணாநிதியின் வெளிநாட்டுப்பயணமும், சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சியும்

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024 / தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி 2023 - 2024: 1970 ஆம் ஆண்டில் கண் சிகிச்சைக்காக அமெரிக்கப் பயணம் மேற்கொண்ட அன்றைய முதல்வர் கருணாநிதி சுற்றுலாவினால் செல்வம் கொழிக்கும் சுவிட்சர்லாந்து நாடு சென்றவர், இயற்கை எழில் குலுங்கும் தமிழ்நாட்டிலும் சுற்றுலா வசதிகளைப் பெருக்கலாமே எனக் கருதினார். 

வெளிநாட்டுப் பயணம் முடிந்து தமிழ்நாடு திரும்பிய பின் 1971 ஆம் ஆண்டில் தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் சார்பில் சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி வாரியம் எனும் புதிய அமைப்பை உருவாக்கினார்.

அந்தச் சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி வாரியம் துணைகொண்டு, சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சிக்கு வழி வகுக்கும் கலைக்கூடங்களைத் தமிழ்நாடு முழுவதிலும் கட்டி எழுப்பினார். 

ஹோட்டல் தமிழ்நாடு என்னும் சொகுசு விடுதிகளைத் தமிழ்நாடு முழுவதிலும் உள்ள சுற்றுலா மையங்களில் ஏற்படுத்தினார். அங்கு தரமான உணவு வசதிகளையும் ஏற்படுத்தித் தந்தார்.

சென்னை மாநகரில் வள்ளுவர் கோட்டம், பூம்புகாரில் சிலப்பதிகாரக் கலைக்கூடம், பாஞ்சாலங்குறிச்சியில் கட்டபொம்மன் கோட்டை, குமரிமுனையில் அய்யன் திருவள்ளுவர் சிலை, கொல்லி மலையில் வல்வில் ஓரி சிலை, தமிழ்நாடு முழுவதிலும் விடுதலைப்போர்த் தியாகிகள், தமிழ்காத்த தியாக சீலர்கள் பலருக்கும் சிலைகள் மணிமண்பங்கள் எனப் பலவற்றைக் கலையெழில் கொஞ்சும் கருவூலங்களாக உருவாக்கி சுற்றுலா கலை வளர்ச்சிக்குரிய வாயில்களாகத் திகழச் செய்தார்.

1974 ஆம் ஆண்டுமுதல் சுற்றுலாத் தொழிற்பொருட்காட்சிகள் சென்னை தீவுத்திடலில் தொடங்கி, பின் மதுரை, கோவை உள்ளிட்ட முக்கிய நகரங்களிலும் நடைபெறச் செய்தார்.

திராவிட நாயகர் ஆட்சியில் சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024 / தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி 2023 - 2024: 2021 இல் ஆட்சிப் பொறுப்பேற்ற முதல்வர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் சுற்றுலாத் துறை வளர்ச்சிக்கு கருணாநிதி போலவே அரும் தொண்டாற்றி வருகிறார். 5000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முற்பட்ட பண்பாட்டுப் பெருமையை நிலைநாட்டும் கீழடி, சிவகளை முதலான இடங்களில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட அகழாய்வுகள் முலம் கிடைக்கப்பெற்ற உலகில் முதன்முதலாக 5300 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பே இரும்பின் பயன்பாட்டைக் கண்டறிந்தவன் தமிழன் என்பதை மெய்ப்பிக்கும் தமிழ்ச் சமுதாயத்தின் பண்பாட்டுக் கூறுகளைக் காட்சிப்படுத்திடும் கீழடி அருங்காட்சியம் அமைத்துள்ளார்.

குமரியில் அய்யன் திருவள்ளுவர் சிலையில் ரூ.11.98 கோடி மதிப்பீட்டில், 3D லேசர் தொழில்நுட்ப ஒளிக்கற்றை வீச்சுகள் பரவச் செய்துள்ளார். சென்னை வள்ளுவர் கோட்டத்தை ரூ.80 கோடி செலவில் புதுப்பித்து இங்குள்ள ஒற்றைக் கல் தேர்மீதும் லேசர் தொழில்நுட்பக் கதிர்வீச்சினைப் பாய்ச்சிப் பார்ப்பவர் உள்ளங்களைப் பரவசத்தில் ஆழ்த்தியுள்ளார்.

ரூ.8.56 கோடி ஒதுக்கீட்டில் தமிழ்நாட்டில் உள்ள அணைகள் மற்றும் நீர்த்தேக்கங்களைச் சுற்றுலா தலங்களாக மேம்படுத்தும் திட்டத்தில் பொன்னியாறு, சிற்றாறு அணைகளில் பணிகள் நடைபெறுகின்றன. தருமபுரி மாவட்டம் ஒகேனக்கல் அருவிப் பகுதிகளை ரூ.17.58 கோடி ஒதுக்கீட்டில் சுற்றுலாத் தலமாக மேம்படுத்தி 26.11.2024 அன்று திறந்து வைத்தார்.

கன்னியாகுமரி மாவட்டம் முட்டம் கடற்கரை, திற்பரப்பு அருவி பகுதிகள் 7.15 கோடி ஒதுக்கீட்டில் மேம்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன. பூம்புகார் சிற்பக் கலைக்கூடத்தை ரூ.23.60 கோடி ஒதுக்கீட்டில் புதுப்பிக்கும் பணிகளில் 85 சதவீதம் முடிவடைந்து இதர பணிகள் நடைபெறுகின்றன. 

குற்றாலம் அருவிப் பகுதியில் ரூ.11.35 கோடியில் சுற்றுலா வசதிகள் மேம்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன. தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டம் காயல்பட்டினம் கடற்கரைப் பகுதிகள் ரூ.3.07 கோடி மதிப்பீட்டிலும் மேம்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன. இது போன்ற பல சாதனைகள் அடங்கும்.

சுற்றுலாத்துறை பெற்றுள்ள விருதுகள்

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024 / தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி 2023 - 2024: தமிழ்நாட்டில் சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சிக்கும், சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளைக் கவரும் பல்வேறு வசதிகளுக்கும் உரிய திட்டங்களை நிறைவேற்றிவரும் முதல்வரின் திராவிட மாடல் அரசு பல்வேறு சுற்றுலா விருதுகளை வென்று புகழ் படைத்து வருகிறது.

புதுடெல்லியில் நடைபெற்ற சர்வதேசச் சுற்றுலா மாநாடு மற்றும் பயண விருதுகளில் திருக்கோயில் சுற்றுலாவை ஊக்குவித்ததற்கான விருது; இந்தியா டுடே சுற்றுலா ஆய்வு விருதுகள் 2021 இல், சிறந்த மலைப்பகுதிக்கான விருது குன்னூருக்கும், இயற்கை எழில் கொஞ்சும் சாலை வகைப்பாட்டிற்கான விருது கொல்லி மலைக்கும் வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

பசிபிக் பகுதி சுற்றுலா எழுத்தாளர்கள் சங்கம் ஆன்மீகச் சுற்றுலாவுக்கான சிறந்த மாநிலம் தமிழ்நாடு எனும் விருது, பிரம்மிக்க வைக்கும் மலைக்காட்சிகளுக்கான அவுட்லுக் டிராவலர் விருதுகள் - 2022 - விழாவில் குன்னூருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட வெள்ளி விருது, இந்தியாவின் சிறந்த சுற்றுலா அமைச்சர் 2023 விருது தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலாத்துறை அமைச்சர் அவர்களுக்கும் ஜப்பானின் ஒசாகாவில் நடைபெற்ற ஜப்பான் சுற்றுலா எக்ஸ்போ விருது இந்தியாவின் சிறந்த பாரம்பரியத் தலத்திற்கான வெள்ளி விருது, தஞ்சாவூர், கங்கை கொண்ட சோழபுரம் கோயில்களுக்காக தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலாத்துறை பெற்ற விருது, பெர்லின் மாநகரில் 6.3.2024 அன்று நடைபெற்ற விழாவில் பசிபிக் பகுதி சுற்றுலா எழுத்தாளர் சங்கத்தால் தமிழ்நாடு கலாச்சார தலத்திற்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட சர்வதேசப் பயண விருதுகள் என எண்ணற்ற விருதுகளைப் பெற்று இந்தியாவின் மிகச் சிறந்த சுற்றுலாத் துறை என திராவிட மாடல் அரசின் சுற்றுலாத் துறை புகழ்வடிவில் ஒளிர்கிறது.

சுற்றுலா கிராம விருதுகள்

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024 / தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி 2023 - 2024: நீலகிரி மாவட்டம் உல்லாடா, கோவை மாவட்டம் வேட்டைக்காரன்புதூர் ஆகிய கிராமங்களுக்குச் சிறந்த சுற்றுலா கிராமங்கள் எனும் விருது புதுடில்லியில் 27.9.2023 அன்று வழங்கப்பட்டது. 

2024 ஆம் ஆண்டின் சிறந்த சுற்றுலா கிராமங்கள் விருது கீழடி கிராமம், நாமக்கல் மாவட்டம் மேல்கலிங்கம்பட்டி கிராமம் ஆகிய கிராமங்களுக்கு 27.9.2024 அன்று ஒன்றிய சுற்றுலா அமைச்சகத்தால் புது டெல்லியில் வழங்கப்பட்டன.

மருத்துவச் சுற்றுலா மாநாடு 2025

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024 / தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி 2023 - 2024: முதல்வர் வழிகாட்டுதலின்படி இந்த ஆண்டின், 'மருத்துவச் சுற்றுலா மாநாடு 2025' சென்னையில் 4.4.2025, 5.4.2025 ஆகிய இரண்டு நாள்கள் திராவிட மாடல் ஆட்சியின் சுற்றுலாத்துறை சுகாதாரத்துறையுடன் இணைந்து சிறப்பாக நடத்திப் பாராட்டுகளைப் பெற்றது.

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024 / தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி 2023 - 2024: முதல்வர் ஸ்டாலின் சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகள் வருகை தருவதற்கு ஏற்ற இடமாக தமிழ்நாட்டை உயர்த்திடவும், சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளின் தங்கும் காலத்தை அதிகரித்திடவும், அந்நியச் செலாவணியை ஈர்க்கும் வகையிலும், வெளிநாட்டுச் சுற்றுலாப் பயணிகளைக் கவர்வதற்கேற்ற வசதிகளையும், கட்டமைப்புகளையும் அதிகப்படுத்திடும் வகையிலும் தமிழ்நாட்டு வரலாற்றில் முதல்முறையாக, தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் சுற்றுலாக் கொள்கை - 2023 யை உருவாக்கி 26.9.2023 அன்று வெளியிட்டார். 

அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து தமிழ்நாடு முழுவதிலும் பல சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சிப் பணிகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்படுகின்றன.

தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சிக் கழகத்தின் சாதனை

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024 / தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சி 2023 - 2024: தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சிக் கழகம் கடந்த ஆண்டுகளை விட 2024 ஆம் ஆண்டில் ரூ.28.69 கோடி அதிக வருவாய் ஈட்டி மாபெரும் சாதனை படைத்துள்ளது. 

தமிழ்நாடு சுற்றுலா வளர்ச்சிக் கழகத்தால் நடத்தப்பெறும் 26 ஓட்டல்கள் மூலமாகவும், அனைத்து சுற்றுலாக்களையும் ஆன்லைனில் பதிவு செய்யும் சேவைகள் காரணமாகவும் 2021 மே முதல் 2025 ஜனவரி வரை ரூ.129.28 கோடி வருவாய் ஈட்டி மாபெரும் சாதனை நிகழ்த்தியுள்ளது.

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024: The famous "Indian Dance Festival" is held in Mamallapuram every year from December to January. The month-long Indian Dance Festival features dancers from all parts of India presenting a rich and diverse range of Indian dance arts.

Every year, thousands of tourists from home and abroad visit the historic Mamallapuram to witness the magnificent Indian dance festival. Along with this, festivals such as the International Balloon Festival and the International Kite Festival in Thiruvidanthai also attract tourists.

Karunanidhi's foreign travel and tourism development

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024: In 1970, the then Chief Minister Karunanidhi, who had visited Switzerland, a country rich in tourism, thought that tourism facilities could be increased in Tamil Nadu, which is blessed with natural beauty.

After returning to Tamil Nadu after completing his foreign trip, he formed a new organization called the Tourism Development Board on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government in 1971.

With the help of that Tourism Development Board, he built art galleries all over Tamil Nadu that paved the way for tourism development. He established luxury hotels called Hotel Tamil Nadu in tourist centers all over Tamil Nadu. He also provided quality food facilities there.

He created the Valluvar Kottam in Chennai, the Silappadhikara Art Gallery in Poombukhar, the Kattabomman Fort in Panchalankurichi, the Ayyan Thiruvalluvar Statue in Kumarimunai, the Valvil Ori Statue on Kolli Hill, and many other statues and ornaments of freedom fighters and Tamil Katha martyrs throughout Tamil Nadu, making them the gateways for the development of tourism and art.

Since 1974, tourism industry exhibitions have been held in Chennai Island, and later in major cities including Madurai and Coimbatore.

Tourism development during the Dravidian Nayak regime

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who took office in 2021, has been working tirelessly for the development of the tourism sector, just like Karunanidhi. He has established the Keezhadi Museum, which showcases the cultural elements of the Tamil community, which proves that Tamils were the first in the world to discover the use of iron 5300 years ago, as found through excavations carried out in places such as Keezhadi and Sivakali, which uphold the cultural pride of 5000 years ago.

In Kumari, he has spread 3D laser technology beams at an estimated cost of Rs. 11.98 crores on the Ayyan Thiruvalluvar statue. The Chennai Valluvar Kottam has been renovated at a cost of Rs. 80 crore and the laser technology radiation on the single stone chariot here has left the viewers in ecstasy.

Work is underway on Ponniyaru and Chittararu dams under the project to develop dams and reservoirs in Tamil Nadu as tourist destinations with an allocation of Rs. 8.56 crore. The Hogenakkal waterfall areas in Dharmapuri district have been developed as a tourist destination with an allocation of Rs. 17.58 crore and inaugurated on 26.11.2024.

The Muttam beach and Thirparappu waterfall areas in Kanyakumari district have been developed with an allocation of Rs. 7.15 crore. 85 percent of the renovation work of the Poompuhar Sculpture Gallery with an allocation of Rs. 23.60 crore has been completed and other work is underway. 

Tourism facilities are being improved in the Courtallam waterfall area with an allocation of Rs. 11.35 crore. The coastal areas of Kayalpattinam in Thoothukudi district are also being developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.07 crore. Many such achievements include.

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024: The Chief Minister's Dravidian model government, which is implementing projects for the development of tourism in Tamil Nadu and various facilities to attract tourists, is winning various tourism awards and making a name for itself.

The award for promoting temple tourism at the International Tourism Conference and Travel Awards held in New Delhi; At the India Today Tourism Research Awards 2021, the award for the best hill station was given to Coonoor and the award for the most scenic road category was given to Kolli Hills.

The tourism sector of the Dravidian model government is shining in the glory of being the best tourism sector in India by receiving numerous awards such as the Pacific Region Tourism Writers Association's award for Tamil Nadu as the best state for spiritual tourism, the silver award given to Coonoor at the Outlook Traveler Awards for breathtaking mountain views - 2022 - ceremony, the Best Tourism Minister of India 2023 award to the Tamil Nadu Tourism Minister, the silver award for the best heritage site in India at the Japan Tourism Expo Award held in Osaka, Japan, the award received by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Department for the temples of Thanjavur and Gangaikonda Cholapuram, and the International Travel Awards given to the Tamil Nadu Cultural Site by the Pacific Region Tourism Writers Association at a ceremony held in Berlin on 6.3.2024.

Tourism Village Awards

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024: The villages of Ullada in the Nilgiris district and Vettaikaranputhur in Coimbatore district were awarded the Best Tourist Villages award in New Delhi on 27.9.2023. 

The Best Tourism Villages of the Year 2024 award was presented to Keezhadi village and Melkalingampatti village of Namakkal district by the Union Ministry of Tourism in New Delhi on 27.9.2024.

Medical Tourism Conference 2025

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024: As per the directions of the Chief Minister, this year's 'Medical Tourism Conference 2025' was successfully organized in Chennai on 4.4.2025 and 5.4.2025 by the Dravidian Model Government's Tourism Department in collaboration with the Health Department and received accolades.

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024: Chief Minister Stalin, in order to promote Tamil Nadu as a tourist destination, increase the length of stay of tourists, attract foreign exchange, and increase the facilities and infrastructure to attract foreign tourists, for the first time in the history of Tamil Nadu, formulated and released the Tourism Policy of the Government of Tamil Nadu - 2023 on 26.9.2023. Following this, many tourism development works are being carried out across Tamil Nadu.

Achievement of Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation

TAMILNADU TOURISM GROWTH 2023 - 2024: The Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation has created a great achievement by earning Rs. 28.69 crore more revenue in 2024 than in previous years. 

Through the 26 hotels run by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation and the online booking services for all tours, it has achieved a huge milestone by generating a revenue of Rs. 129.28 crore from May 2021 to January 2025.
