• காலநிலை மாற்றத்தைக் குறைத்தல் மற்றும் செயல் திட்டங்களை ஏற்றல், இயற்கை அடிப்படையிலான தீர்வுகள் உள்ளிட்டவை
• நகர்ப்புற வெள்ளத் தடுப்பு மற்றும் வெள்ள மேலாண்மை உட்பட நதிகளை மையமாகக் கொண்ட நகர்ப்புற திட்டமிடல்
• புறநகர் மற்றும் கிராமப்புறங்களில் இயற்கை முறையில் திரவக் கழிவுகளைக் குறைக்கும் நடவடிக்கைகள்.
• இந்தப் புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம் நீர்வள மேம்பாடு மற்றும் மேலாண்மை, கிராமப்புற நீர் வழங்கல், கழிவு நீர் மேலாண்மை/கழிவுநீர் சுத்திகரிப்பு ஆகியவற்றில் ஒத்துழைப்பை பரந்த அளவில் வலுப்படுத்தும். அதிகாரிகள், கல்வியாளர்கள், நீர் தொடர்பான துறைகள் மற்றும் தொழில்துறையினர் இடையே நேரடி ஒத்துழைப்பு மூலம் இந்த பணிகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும்.

• டென்மார்க் பிரதமர் திருமதி மெட்டே ஃபிரடெரிக்சன் இந்தியாவில் பயணம் மேற்கொண்டபோது, 2021 ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 09 ஆம் தேதி அன்று முந்தைய கூட்டறிக்கையின் தொடர்ச்சியாக பசுமை செயல்திட்ட கூட்டு செயல்பாடு குறித்த ஒரு அறிக்கை வெளியிடப்பட்டது. 

பிரகடனங்கள்

• நவீன (ஸ்மார்ட்) நீர் வள மேலாண்மைக்கான சிறப்பு மையத்தை நிறுவுதல் (CoESWaRM)
• பஞ்சியில் உள்ள நவீன நகர (ஸ்மார்ட் சிட்டி) ஆய்வகம் போன்று வாரணாசியில் தூய்மையான நதிகளுக்கான ஆய்வகத்தை நிறுவுதல்
• பிரதமர் திரு நரேந்திர மோடியின் டென்மார்க் பயணத்தின் போது 3 மே, 2022 அன்று, மத்திய ஜல் சக்தி அமைச்சகத்திற்கும் டென்மார்க் அரசின் சுற்றுச்சூழல் அமைச்சகம், அரசாங்கத்திற்கும், இடையே பொதுவான செயல்திட்டம் குறித்த இறுதி செய்யப்பட்ட வரைவு ஒப்பந்தத் திட்டம் (Lettet of intent) கையெழுத்தானது. 
• இரண்டு புதிய முன்முயற்சிகளை உள்ளடக்கிய ஒரு பரந்த அடிப்படையிலான புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தத்தில் கையெழுத்திட இந்த வரைவு ஒப்பந்தம் வகை செய்தது. நவீன நீர் வள மேலாண்மைக்கான உயர் திறன் மையம் மற்றும் வாரணாசியில் தூய்மையான நதி நீர் தொடர்பான நவீன ஆய்வகம் ஆகிய இரண்டும் இதில் அடங்கும். 
• முழுமையான மற்றும் நிலையான அணுகுமுறை மூலம் தற்போதைய மற்றும் எதிர்கால தேவைகளை பூர்த்தி செய்ய பாதுகாப்பான மற்றும் தூய நீரை உறுதி செய்வதே இந்த, உத்தேசிக்கப்பட்ட ஒத்துழைப்பின் அடிப்படை நோக்கமாகும்.
• அந்த வரைவு ஒப்பந்தத்தின் (Letter of intent) தொடர்ச்சியாக, மத்திய அரசின் நீர்வளத்துறையின் நதிகள் மேம்பாடு மற்றும் கங்கை புனரமைப்பு துறைக்கும், டென்மார்க் அரசின் சுற்றுச்சூழல் அமைச்சகத்துக்கும் இடையே, 12.09.2022 அன்று மத்திய ஜல் சக்தித் துறை அமைச்சரின் டென்மார்க் பயணத்தின் போது புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம் கையெழுத்தானது.
• பிரதமர் திரு நரேந்திர மோடி, டென்மார்க் பிரதமர் திருமதி மெட்டே ஃபிரடெரிக்சன் ஆகியோர் 28 செப்டம்பர் 2020 அன்று இந்தியாவிற்கும், டென்மார்க்கிற்கும் இடையிலான காணொலி வாயிலான உச்சி மாநாட்டிற்கு கூட்டாக தலைமை வகித்தனர். 
• இதில் பசுமை செயல்திட்ட ஒத்துழைப்பு குறித்த கூட்டு அறிக்கை வெளியிடப்பட்டது. இரு நாடுகளுக்கு இடையே வெளியிடப்பட்ட கூட்டு அறிக்கை, சுற்றுச்சூழல் / நீர் மற்றும் சுழற்சி பொருளாதாரம், நவீன நகரங்கள் உள்ளிட்ட நிலையான நகர்ப்புற மேம்பாட்டுப் பணிகளில் ஒத்துழைப்பைக் கருத்தில் கொண்டதாக அமைந்தது.

ENGLISH

• The Union Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi discussed and approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between India and Denmark in the field of water resources development and management.
• A wide range of cooperation aspects are outlined in the MoU
• Digitization and ease of access to information
• Integrated and modern water resources development and management;
• Watershed mapping, groundwater modeling, monitoring and optimization;
• Efficient and sustainable water supply practices at household level including reduction of non-revenue water and energy consumption
• Improve and clean rivers and water bodies to improve livelihoods, resilience and economic development
• Water Quality Monitoring and Management
• Use of renewable energy in the sector of sewage/sewage treatment, comprehensive wastewater management, water supply and sanitation including circular economy for reuse/recycling of wastewater;
• Climate change mitigation and adoption of action plans, including nature-based solutions
• River-centric urban planning including urban flood prevention and flood management
• Measures to reduce natural liquid waste in suburban and rural areas.
• The MoU will broadly strengthen cooperation in water resources development and management, rural water supply, wastewater management/sewage treatment. These works will be carried out through direct collaboration between authorities, academics, water related departments and industry.

Background

• During the visit of the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mrs. Mette Frederiksen to India, a statement on Green Action Joint Action was released on 09 October 2021 as a follow-up to the previous joint statement.

Declarations

• Establishment of Center of Excellence for Modern (Smart) Water Resources Management (CoESWaRM)
• Establishing a laboratory for clean rivers in Varanasi like the Smart City Laboratory at Panji
• During Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's visit to Denmark on May 3, 2022, a finalized Draft Letter of Intent was signed between the Union Ministry of Hydropower and the Ministry of Environment of the Government of Denmark, Govt.
• The draft agreement led to the signing of a broad-based MoU covering two new initiatives. These include both a High Capacity Center for Modern Water Resources Management and a state-of-the-art laboratory on clean river water at Varanasi.
• The basic objective of this proposed collaboration is to ensure safe and clean water to meet current and future needs through a holistic and sustainable approach.
• As a continuation of that draft agreement (Letter of Intent), an MoU was signed between the Department of Rivers Development and Ganges Rehabilitation of the Central Government Water Resources Department and the Ministry of Environment of the Government of Denmark on 12.09.2022 during the visit of the Minister of Hydropower to Denmark.
• Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Prime Minister of Denmark Mrs. Mette Frederiksen jointly chaired the India-Denmark video conference on 28 September 2020.
• A joint statement on green action cooperation was released. A joint statement issued between the two countries envisages cooperation in sustainable urban development including environment/water and circular economy, modern cities.
