சூரிய சக்தி மூலம் தெரு விளக்குகளை இயக்குதல் / ENERGIZATIONS OF STREET LIGHTS WITH SOLAR ENERGY

• சூரிய சக்தி மூலம் தெரு விளக்குகளை இயக்குவது என்பது 2011-12 ஆம் ஆண்டில் மாண்புமிகு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்களால் அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட மாநில நிதியுதவி திட்டமாகும். 
• இதன் கீழ் கிராம ஊராட்சிகளில் தற்போதுள்ள தெரு விளக்குகள் குறைக்கும் நோக்கத்துடன் சூரிய சக்தியில் இயங்கும் தெரு விளக்குகளால் மாற்றப்படும். பராமரிப்பு செலவினங்களில் மற்றும் கிராமப்புறங்களில் புதுப்பிக்கத்தக்க ஆற்றல் என்ற கருத்தை ஊக்குவித்தல்.
• இத்திட்டம் கிராம ஊராட்சிகளில் சோதனை அடிப்படையில் செயல்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. முதற்கட்டமாக, 2011-12 முதல் 5 ஆண்டுகளில் 1,000 கிராம பஞ்சாயத்துகளில் 1 லட்சம் தெருவிளக்குகள் சூரிய சக்தியுடன் மாற்றப்படும்.
• 2011-12 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான கிராம ஊராட்சிகளில் சூரிய சக்தியுடன் கூடிய 20,000 தெருவிளக்குகளை இயக்குவதற்கு ரூ.52.50 கோடியை அரசு அனுமதித்துள்ளது. தமிழ்நாடு எரிசக்தி மேம்பாட்டு முகமை (TEDA) செயல்படுத்தும் முகமையாகும்.
• இதுவரை 15,020 தெருவிளக்குகள் சூரிய சக்தி மூலம் எரியூட்டப்பட்டுள்ளன. மீதமுள்ள தொகை 2013 மார்ச் இறுதிக்குள் முடிக்கப்படும்.
• 20,000 தெருவிளக்குகளை சூரிய ஒளி மின்சாரம் மூலம் இயக்குவதற்கான ஆணைகளை அரசு வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. மேலும் 2012-13ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கு ரூ.52.83 கோடி ஒதுக்கீடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
• மாவட்ட ஆட்சியர்கள், தெருவிளக்குகள் சூரிய சக்தி மூலம் எரியூட்டப்பட வேண்டிய இடங்கள், குடியிருப்புகள் மற்றும் கிராம பஞ்சாயத்துகளை கண்டறிந்து, ஒருங்கிணைந்த பட்டியலை தமிழ்நாடு எரிசக்தி மேம்பாட்டு முகமையிடம் அளித்துள்ளனர். 
• டெடா நிறுவனம் டெண்டருக்கு அழைப்பு விடுத்து, 2013 மார்ச் இறுதிக்குள் இறுதி செய்யப்பட்டு, ஏப்ரல் 2013 முதல் டெடா மூலம் பணிகள் தொடங்கப்படும்.
• 2013-14ம் ஆண்டிலும் ரூ.50 கோடி செலவில் 20,000 தெருவிளக்குகள் சூரிய சக்தி மூலம் எரியூட்டப்படும்.

ENGLISH

• Energisation of Street Lights with Solar Power is a State funded scheme announced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister in the year 2011-12, under which the existing street lights in the Village Panchayats will be replaced with solar powered street lights with an objective of reduction in the maintenance expenditure and promote the concept of renewable energy in rural areas.
• This programme is implemented in the Village Panchayats on an experimental basis. Initially, 1 lakh street lights will be taken up in 1,000 Village Panchayats for replacement with solar power over a period of 5 years from 2011-12.
• The Government has sanctioned a sum of Rs.52.50 crore for energisation of 20,000 street lights with solar power in Village Panchayats for the year 2011-12. Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency (TEDA) is the Executing Agency.
• 15,020 street lights have been energised so far with solar power. The balance will be completed before the end of March, 2013.
• The Government has issued orders for energisation of 20,000 street lights with solar power and also sanctioned Rs.52.83 crore for the year 2012-13.
• The District Collectors have identified the locations, habitations and Village Panchayats where the street lights are to be energized with solar power and furnished the consolidated list to the Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency. 
• The TEDA has called for tender and the same will be finalized before the end of March, 2013 and the works will be commenced through the TEDA from April, 2013 onwards.
• For the year 2013-14 also, 20,000 street lights will be energised with solar power at a cost of Rs.50 crore.
