• தமிழகத்தில் கள்ளச்சாராயம் ஏழை எளிய மக்களின் வாழ்வை அழித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தபோது, ஜெயலலிதா முதல்வராக இருந்த கால கட்டத்தில் கள்ளச்சாராய ஒழிப்பு நடவடிக்கைகள் கடுமையாக இருந்தது.
