வெளிநாடு வாழ் இந்தியர்கள் தின மாநாடு / NRI DAY CONFERENCE

• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஜனவரி 9-ம் தேதி பிரவாசி பாரதிய திவஸ் தினம் (வெளிநாடுவாழ் இந்தியர் தினம்) கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. 
• தேசத் தந்தை காந்தியடிகள் தென்னாப்பிரிக்காவில் இருந்து மும்பை திரும்பிய நாளை நினைவுகூரும் வகையில் இந்த நாள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டது. 
• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஏதாவது ஓர் இந்திய நகரத்தில் பிரவாசி பாரதிய திவஸ் தின மாநாடு நடைபெறுகிறது.
• அந்த வகையில் இந்த ஆண்டு மாநாடு மத்திய பிரதேசத்தின் இந்தூரில் நேற்று முன்தினம் தொடங்கியது. 
• இதில் சுமார் 70 நாடுகளை சேர்ந்த 3,200-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட வெளிநாடுவாழ் இந்தியர்கள் பங்கேற்றுள்ளனர். மாநாட்டின் 2-ம் நாள் நிகழ்ச்சியில் பிரதமர் மோடி பங்கேற்றார்.

• Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (Overseas Indian Day) is celebrated every year on 9th January. This day was chosen to commemorate the return of Father of the Nation Gandhi from South Africa to Mumbai.
• Every year Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Day Conference is held in some Indian city. In that way, this year's conference started yesterday in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. More than 3,200 overseas Indians from around 70 countries have participated in this. Prime Minister Modi participated in the program on the 2nd day of the conference.
