- இந்தியாவில் உள்ள 111 நகரங்களில் சமூகம், பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் தொழில்துறையை உள்ளடக்கிய அளவுருக்களின் அடிப்படையில் பெண்களுக்கு உகந்த சூழல்கள் குறித்து ஆய்வு நடத்தப்பட்டது.
- இந்த நிலையில், சமூகம், மக்களின் பாதுகாப்பு, தொழில் நுட்பம் ஆகியவற்றின் அடிப்படையில், 111 நகரங்களில் நடத்தப்பட்ட ஒரு ஆய்வில், தமிழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த 8 நகரங்கள் பெண்கள் வாழ்வதற்கேற்ற சிறந்த நகரங்களாக இடம்பிடித்துள்ளது.
- 10 லட்சத்துக்கும் அதிகமான மக்கள் தொகை உள்ள இந்தியாவின் முக்கிய நகரங்களில் நடத்தப்பட்ட ஆய்வில், பெண்கள் வாழ்வதற்கான சிறந்த நகரங்களில் சென்னை முதலிடம் பெற்றுள்ளது.
- சென்னைக்கு அடுத்ததாக புனே, பெங்களூரு, ஐதராபாத், மும்பை, அகமதாபாத், விசாகப்பட்டினம், கொல்கத்தா, கோயம்புத்தூர், திருப்பூர், மதுரை ஆகிய நகரங்கள் அடுத்தடுத்து முதல் 10 இடங்களை பிடித்துள்ளன.
- பெண்கள் பாதுகாப்பில், தேசிய தலைநகரான டெல்லி, சென்னையை விட 30 புள்ளிகள் குறைவாக பெற்று 14வது இடத்திற்கு தள்ளப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
- அதேபோல் 10 லட்சத்துக்கும் கீழ் மக்கள் தொகை உள்ள இந்திய நகரங்களில், நடத்தப்பட்ட ஆய்வில் பெண்கள் வாழ்வதற்கான சிறந்த நகரமாக திருச்சி மாவட்டம் தேர்வாகியிருக்கிறது.
- இதில் அடுத்தடுத்த இடத்தில் தமிழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த வேலூர், ஈரோடு, சேலம், திருப்பூர் ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களும், புதுச்சேரி, சிம்லா, மங்களூர், திருவனந்தபுரம் மற்றும் பெலகாவி ஆகிய நகரங்கள் பிடித்துள்ளன.
- பெண்களுக்கான சிறந்த நகரங்கள் குறித்து நடத்தப்பட்ட ஆய்வின் பட்டியலில் உள்ள 2 பிரிவுகளிலும் முழுமையான வளர்ச்சியின் அடையாளமாக தமிழ்நாட்டில் உள்ள 8 நகரங்கள் இடம் பிடித்திருப்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
- அடிப்படை தேவைகள், பாதுகாப்பு, தேசிய மக்கள் தொகை கணக்கெடுப்பு, குற்ற பதிவுகள் உள்ளிட்ட 200க்கும் மேற்பட்ட ஆதாரங்களின் தரவுகளை ஆய்வு செய்து இந்த பட்டியல் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
