சுதந்திரம் அடைந்த பிறகு முதன்முறையாக இந்தியாவில் வெளிநாட்டு பல்கலைக்கழகம் 2024ம் ஆண்டு முதல் செயல்பட உள்ளது. இது பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடியின் கனவு திட்டமாகும். மத்திய பட்ஜெட்டில் இதற்கான அனுமதி வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்நிலையில், குஜராத் மாநிலம் அகமதாபாத்தில் நடைபெற்ற நிகழ்ச்சியில் ஆஸ்திரேலியா பிரதமர் மற்றும் குஜராத் மாநில ஆளுநர் மற்றும் முதல்வர் முன்னிலையில் டைகின் பல்கலைக்கழகம் நிறுவுவதற்கான ஒப்பந்தம் கையெழுத்தானது.
ஆஸ்திரேலியாவைச் சேர்ந்த டைகின் பல்கலைக்கழகம் (Deakin University) குஜராத் மாநிலத்தில் துவங்கப்பட உள்ளது. எம்பிஏ, எம்எஸ் என்ற இரண்டு பட்டப்படிப்புகள் துவங்கப்பட உள்ளன.
முழு நேரமாக இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளும், பகுதி நேரமாக நான்கு ஆண்டுகளும் பயிலலாம்.2024 ஆம் ஆண்டு மே மாதம் முதல் வகுப்புகளை துவங்கத் திட்டமிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
வெளிநாடு சென்று பயிலும் இந்திய மாணவர்கள் நம் நாட்டில் படித்து பணிபுரிய வேண்டும் என்ற பிரதமர் மோடியின் கனவு திட்டமாகும்.
இந்தியாவில் உள்ள அனைத்து மாநிலங்களைச் சேர்ந்த மாணவர்களுக்கும் இது மிகவும் பயனளிக்கும். குஜராத் மாநிலம், அகமதாபாத் கிப்ட் சிட்டியில் இந்த வெளிநாட்டு பல்கலைக்கழகம் அமையவுள்ளது.
