விருதுநகர் மாவட்டம் ஜோகில்பட்டி கிராமத்தைச் சேர்ந்த நாராயணன் - மூர்த்தியம்மாள் என்ற தம்பதியின் மகள் முத்தமிழ்ச்செல்வி. இவர் திருமணமாக தனது கணவர் மற்றும் இரு குழந்தைகளுடன் சென்னையில் வசித்து வருகிறார்.
தனியார் பள்ளியில் ஆசிரியராக பணியாற்றி வரும் முத்தமிழ்ச்செல்வி, சிறு வயது முதலே மலையேற்றத்தில் ஆர்வம் மிக்கவராக இருந்துள்ளார்.
எவரெஸ்ட் சிகரத்தின் உச்சிக்கு செல்ல வேண்டும் என்று விரும்பிய இவர், அதற்கான பயிற்சிகளையும் மேற்கொண்டு வந்துள்ளார்.
இதையடுத்து கடந்த ஏப்ரல் மாதம் 2 ஆம் தேதி சென்னையிலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட முத்தமிழ்ச்செல்வி, ஏப்ரல் 5 ஆம் தேதி எவரெஸ்ட் சிகரத்தில் ஏறத் தொடங்கினார். 51 நாட்கள் தொடர்ந்து பயணித்த அவர், கடந்த மே 23 ஆம் தேதி எவரெஸ்ட் சிகரத்தின் உச்சியை அடைந்தார்.
ஏறத்தாழ 8,848 மீட்டர் உயரம் கொண்ட எவரெஸ்ட் சிகரத்தின் உச்சியை அடைந்த முத்தமிழ்ச்செல்வி, எவரெஸ்ட் சிகரத்தை அடைந்த முதல் தமிழ்ப்பெண் என்ற சாதனையை படைத்துள்ளார்.

Muthamilchelvi is the daughter of Narayanan-Murthiyammal from Jokilpatti village in Virudhunagar district. She is married and lives in Chennai with her husband and two children.
Working as a teacher in a private school, Muthamilchelvi has been interested in trekking since childhood. He wanted to go to the top of Mount Everest and has been training for it.
Subsequently, Muthamilchelvi, who left Chennai on April 2, started climbing Everest on April 5. After traveling continuously for 51 days, he reached the summit of Mount Everest on May 23.
Muthamichelvi, who has reached the summit of Mount Everest at a height of approximately 8,848 meters, has become the first Tamil woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
