• ஒரு லட்சத்திற்கும் குறைவான மக்கள் தொகை உள்ள நகரங்களுக்கு நிதி உதவி அளிப்பதற்காக அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்ட பயன்படுத்தப்பட்ட நீர் மேலாண்மைத் திட்டம், நகர்ப்புறங்களின் துப்புரவு துறையில் மிகப்பெரிய மாற்றத்திற்கு வித்திட்டுள்ளது. 
• திடக்கழிவு மற்றும் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்ட நீர் மேலாண்மையை மேம்படுத்துவதில் கவனம் செலுத்துவதற்காக மத்திய வீட்டு வசதி மற்றும் நகர்ப்புற விவகாரங்கள் அமைச்சகம், ரைட்ஸ் நிறுவனத்துடன் புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தத்தில் கையெழுத்திட்டது. 
• இந்த ஒப்பந்தத்தின்படி ரைட்ஸ் நிறுவனத்தின் தொழில்நுட்ப ஆதரவு பிரிவு, நகர்ப்புற தூய்மை இந்தியா திட்டத்திற்கு மூன்று ஆண்டு காலம் தொழில்நுட்ப உதவி வழங்கும். 
• கழிவுநீர் மேலாண்மை, கழிவுநீர் சுத்திகரிப்பு ஆலைகளின் பொறியியல் மற்றும் வடிவமைப்பு நடைமுறை உள்ளிட்ட துறைகளில் ஆதரவு அளிக்கப்படும். 
• இரண்டாவது கட்ட நகர்ப்புற தூய்மை இந்தியா திட்டத்தின் கீழ் கழிவுகளற்ற நகரங்களை உருவாக்கும் தொலைநோக்குப் பார்வையோடு நிலையான திடக்கழிவு மேலாண்மையை வலுப்படுத்த கவனம் செலுத்தப்பட்டு வருவது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

ENGLISH

• The Used Water Management Scheme, introduced to provide financial assistance to cities with a population of less than one lakh, has ushered in a huge change in the sanitation sector in urban areas.
• The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has signed an MoU with Wrights to focus on improving solid waste and used water management.
• According to the agreement, the Technical Support Division of Rites will provide technical assistance to the Urban Clean India Project for a period of three years.
• Support will be provided in areas including wastewater management, engineering and design practice of wastewater treatment plants.
• It is noteworthy that under the second phase of the Urban Clean India Plan, the focus is on strengthening sustainable solid waste management with a vision of creating waste-free cities.
