INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY 2023 - 5TH SEPTEMBER / சர்வதேச தொண்டு நாள் 2023 - செப்டம்பர் 5: சர்வதேச தொண்டு தினம் ஆண்டுதோறும் செப்டம்பர் 5 அன்று அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. தன்னார்வத் தொண்டு மற்றும் பரோபகாரம் போன்ற கருத்துக்கள் உண்மையான சமூகப் பிணைப்பை வழங்குவதோடு, உள்ளடக்கிய மற்றும் அதிக நெகிழ்ச்சியான சமூகங்களை உருவாக்குவதற்கு பங்களிக்கிறது.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY 2023 - 5TH SEPTEMBER / சர்வதேச தொண்டு நாள் 2023 - செப்டம்பர் 5: அன்னை தெரசா மறைந்த நினைவு நாளைக் கொண்டாடும் வகையில், சர்வதேச தொண்டு நாள் செப்டம்பர் 5-ஆம் தேதி கொண்டாடத் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டது.

அவர் 1979 இல் "அமைதிக்கு அச்சுறுத்தலாக விளங்கும் வறுமை மற்றும் துன்பத்தை சமாளிப்பதற்கான போராட்டத்தில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட பணிக்காக அமைதிக்கான நோபல் பரிசைப் பெற்றார், 

மனிதாபிமான நெருக்கடிகள் மற்றும் தேசங்களுக்குள்ளும் மனித துன்பங்களையும் தணிப்பதில் தொண்டுகளின் பங்கை அங்கீகரிக்கும் வகையில், அன்னை தெரசாவின் பணி உட்பட தொண்டு நிறுவனங்கள் மற்றும் தனிநபர்களின் முயற்சிகள்.

ஐக்கிய நாடுகளின் பொதுச் சபை அதன் A/RES/67/105 தீர்மானத்தில் அன்னை தெரசாவின் மறைவின் நினைவு நாளான செப்டம்பர் 5 ஆம் தேதியை சர்வதேச தொண்டு தினமாக நியமித்தது.

முக்கியத்துவம்

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY 2023 - 5TH SEPTEMBER / சர்வதேச தொண்டு நாள் 2023 - செப்டம்பர் 5: தொண்டு என்ற கருத்து சமூகத்தில் சமநிலையை ஏற்படுத்த உதவுகிறது. தொண்டு தேவைகளை வழங்குவதையும், அவர்களுக்கு மிகவும் தேவைப்படுபவர்களுக்கு உதவுவதையும் நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.

அன்னை தெரசா பற்றி

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY 2023 - 5TH SEPTEMBER / சர்வதேச தொண்டு நாள் 2023 - செப்டம்பர் 5: அன்னை தெரசா, புகழ்பெற்ற கன்னியாஸ்திரி மற்றும் மிஷனரி, 1910 இல் ஆக்னஸ் கோன்க்ஷா போஜாக்ஷியுவாகப் பிறந்தார். 1928 இல், அவர் இந்தியாவுக்குச் சென்றார்.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY 2023 - 5TH SEPTEMBER: The International Day of Charity is observed annually on September 5. Charity, like the notions of volunteerism and philanthropy, provides real social bonding and contributes to the creation of inclusive and more resilient societies. Charity can alleviate the worst effects of humanitarian crises, and supplement public services in health care, education, housing, and child protection.

The International Day of Charity was established with the objective of sensitizing and mobilizing people, NGOs, and stakeholders all around the world to help others through volunteer and philanthropic activities.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY HISTORY

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY 2023 - 5TH SEPTEMBER: International Day of Charity was chosen to be celebrated on September 5th in order to commemorate the anniversary of the passing away of Mother Teresa.

She received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 "for work undertaken in the struggle to overcome poverty and distress, which also constitute a threat to peace."

In recognition of the role of charity in alleviating humanitarian crises and human suffering within and among nations, as well as of the efforts of charitable organizations and individuals, including the work of Mother Teresa.

The United Nations General Assembly in its resolution A/RES/67/105 designated the 5th of September, the anniversary of the death of Mother Teresa, as the International Day of Charity.

Significance of the day

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY 2023 - 5TH SEPTEMBER: The concept of charity helps in bringing balance in society. Charity is directed towards providing necessities and help those who need them the most. 

Thus, this day becomes significant as it motivates people to do their bit in helping people in need. One can celebrate this day either donating money to a charity organization or by doing activity that is charitable in nature in order to make the world a better place.

International Day of Charity Theme 2023

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY 2023 - 5TH SEPTEMBER: International Day of Charity is observed on September 5th each year, with the 2023 theme being “Global Solidarity to End Poverty.” This theme emphasizes the importance of a worldwide effort to combat poverty.

Mother Teresa

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY 2023 - 5TH SEPTEMBER: Mother Teresa, the renowned nun and missionary, was born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu in 1910. In 1928, she went to India, where she devoted herself to helping the destitute. In 1948, she became an Indian citizen and founded the order of Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata (Calcutta) in 1950, which became noted for its work among the poor and the dying in that city.

For over 45 years, she ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying while guiding the Missionaries of Charity’s expansion, first in India and then in other countries, including hospices and homes for the poorest and homeless.

Mother Teresa’s work has been recognized and acclaimed throughout the world and she has received a number of awards and distinctions, including the Nobel Peace Prize. Mother Teresa died on September 5th, 1997, at 87 years of age.
