WORLD RHINO DAY 2023 - 22nd SEPTEMBER / உலக காண்டாமிருக தினம் 2023 - 22 செப்டம்பர்: 2011 ஆம் ஆண்டில், லிசா ஜேன் கேம்ப்பெல் ரிஷ்ஜா என்ற பெண்ணுக்கு ஒரு கடிதம் அனுப்பினார். அவர் உலகில் உள்ள ஐந்து வகையான காண்டாமிருகங்களின் வளர்ச்சியைப் பார்க்கவும் உதவவும் விரும்பினார். 

இந்த இரண்டு பெண்களும் காண்டாமிருகங்கள் மீது கொண்ட அன்பினால், உலக காண்டாமிருக தினம் என்பது கருத்துருவாக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டு உலகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள மக்களுக்கு அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டது.

இருப்பினும், காண்டாமிருகத்தின் சில இனங்கள் அழிவின் விளிம்பில் உள்ளன. தற்போது, உலகில் சுமார் 100 சுமத்ரான் காண்டாமிருகங்கள் உள்ளன, மேலும் 60-65 ஜாவான் காண்டாமிருகங்கள் மட்டுமே எஞ்சியுள்ளன. எனவே, உலக காண்டாமிருக தினம் காண்டாமிருக பாதுகாப்பின் அவசரத் தேவையைப் பெருக்கும் முயற்சியாகும்.

WORLD RHINO DAY 2023 - 22nd SEPTEMBER: In 2011, Lisa Jane Campbell sent a letter to a woman named Rhishja, who wanted to see and help the growth of all the five species of rhinos in the world. Due to the love of these two women for rhinos, World Rhino Day was conceptualized and introduced to people all over the world.

However, some species of the rhinoceros are on the brink of extinction. At present, there are around 100 Sumatran Rhinos left globally, and only between 60-65 Javan rhinos left. Therefore, World Rhino Day is an attempt to amplify the urgent need for rhino conservation.
