RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS (NATIONAL UNITY DAY) 2023 - 31ST OCTOBER / ராஷ்ட்ரிய ஏக்தா திவாஸ் (தேசிய ஒருமைப்பாடு தினம்) 2023 - 31 அக்டோபர்: இந்தியாவில், இந்தியாவின் இரும்பு மனிதர் சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேலின் பிறந்தநாளை நினைவுகூரும் வகையில், 2014ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் அக்டோபர் 31ஆம் தேதி ராஷ்டிரிய ஏக்தா திவாஸ் அல்லது தேசிய ஒற்றுமை தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. 

இந்த ஆண்டு இந்தியாவின் சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத்திலும், பின்னர் நாட்டின் ஒருங்கிணைப்பின்போதும் ஒரு கருவியாகப் பங்காற்றிய மாபெரும் தலைவரின் 146 வது ஆண்டு நிறைவைக் குறிக்கிறது.

சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேலின் பிறந்தநாளில் அவருக்கு அஞ்சலி செலுத்துவதற்கும் அவரது மகத்தான பங்களிப்பைக் குறிக்கும் விதமாகவும் இந்திய அரசாங்கம் முதன்முதலில் 2014 இல் இந்த நாளை அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது. 

"ஒற்றுமைக்காக ஓடுங்கள்" என்ற கருப்பொருளுடன் முதன்முதலாக ராஷ்ட்ரிய ஏக்தா திவாஸ் நிகழ்வை புதுதில்லியில் பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.

இந்தியா பல்வேறு கலாச்சாரங்கள், பாரம்பரியங்கள், மதங்கள் மற்றும் மொழிகளின் பாராட்டத்தக்க கலவையைக் காணக்கூடிய ஒரு பூமி. சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேல் நாடு சமஸ்தானங்கள் மற்றும் பிரிட்டிஷ் இந்தியாவாகப் பிரிக்கப்பட்ட காலத்தில் ஒற்றுமை என்ற கருத்தை முன்வைத்தார். 

இந்த நாளைக் கொண்டாடுவது தேசம் ஒற்றுமை, ஒருமைப்பாடு மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பை உருவாக்குவதற்கு வலிமை மற்றும் பின்னடைவை வழங்குகிறது.

முக்கியத்துவம்

RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS (NATIONAL UNITY DAY) 2023 - 31ST OCTOBER / ராஷ்ட்ரிய ஏக்தா திவாஸ் (தேசிய ஒருமைப்பாடு தினம்) 2023 - 31 அக்டோபர்: ராஷ்டிரிய ஏக்தா திவாஸ் அனுசரிப்பு ஒற்றுமை, ஒருமைப்பாடு மற்றும் அண்டை நாடுகளை நிலைநிறுத்துவதன் மூலம் தேசத்தின் வலிமை மற்றும் பின்னடைவை சித்தரிக்கிறது.

பிரிட்டிஷ் காலனித்துவ ஆட்சியிலிருந்து சுதந்திரம் பெற்ற பிறகு, அனைத்து 565 சுயராஜ்ய சமஸ்தானங்களையும் இந்தியாவுடன் இணைக்க பட்டேல் வெற்றிகரமாக வற்புறுத்தினார்.

இது மட்டுமின்றி, சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேலின் அதீத பங்களிப்பை போற்றும் வகையில், இந்தியாவின் ஒற்றுமையின் வலிமையை சித்தரிக்கும் வகையில், குஜராத்தில் உள்ள நர்மதா நதிக்கரையில் சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேலின் உலகின் மிக உயரமான சிலையை (182 மீட்டர்) இந்திய அரசு திறந்து வைத்துள்ளது. 

இது "ஒற்றுமை சிலை" என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது மற்றும் உலகின் 8 வது அதிசயம் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்திய சிற்பி ராம் வி.சுதார் சிலையை வடிவமைத்தார்.

இது தவிர, 2019 ஆம் ஆண்டில், நமது பிரதமர் நரேந்திர மோடி ஒற்றுமையின் சிலையில் ராஷ்ட்ரிய ஏக்தா திவாஸ் உறுதிமொழியை நடத்தினார் மற்றும் பட்டேலுக்கு அஞ்சலி செலுத்தும் வகையில் நாட்டின் பல காவல்துறையினரின் தேசிய ஒற்றுமை தின அணிவகுப்பைக் கண்டார்.

இந்த நாளைக் கொண்டாடும் வகையில், தேசிய ஒற்றுமை மற்றும் ஒருமைப்பாட்டிற்கான தனிநபர்களின் மதிப்புமிக்க பங்களிப்பை கௌரவிக்கவும் குறிக்கவும் அரசாங்கம் சர்தார் படேல் தேசிய ஒற்றுமை விருதையும் ஏற்பாடு செய்கிறது. 

பள்ளிகள் மற்றும் கல்லூரிகள் பல்வேறு கலாச்சார நிகழ்ச்சிகளை ஏற்பாடு செய்கின்றன. மாரடைப்பு மற்றும் மோசமான உடல்நலக் குறைவால் அவதிப்பட்டு டிசம்பர் 15, 1950 அன்று படேல் தனது கடைசி மூச்சை எடுத்தார்.

சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேல் பற்றி

RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS (NATIONAL UNITY DAY) 2023 - 31ST OCTOBER / ராஷ்ட்ரிய ஏக்தா திவாஸ் (தேசிய ஒருமைப்பாடு தினம்) 2023 - 31 அக்டோபர்: இவர் 1875 ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 31 ஆம் தேதி குஜராத்தின் நாடியாத் என்ற இடத்தில் பிறந்தார்.

சுதந்திர இந்தியாவின் முதல் உள்துறை அமைச்சராகவும், துணைப் பிரதமராகவும் இருந்தார். பல இந்திய சமஸ்தானங்களை ஒருங்கிணைத்து இந்தியக் கூட்டாட்சியை உருவாக்குவதில் அவர் முக்கியப் பங்காற்றினார்.

சுதந்திரத்தின் போது, பல சமஸ்தானங்களை இந்திய யூனியனுடன் இணைவதில் அவர் முக்கிய பங்கு வகித்தார். இந்தியாவின் சுதந்திரத்திற்காக சமூகத் தலைவராகவும் கடுமையாக உழைத்தார்.

பர்தோலியின் பெண்கள் வல்லபாய் படேலுக்கு 'சர்தார்' பட்டத்தை வழங்கினர், அதாவது 'தலைவர் அல்லது தலைவர்'. இந்தியாவை ஒருங்கிணைத்து (ஏக் பாரத்) மற்றும் ஒரு சுதந்திர தேசமாக மாற்றுவதற்கான அவரது மகத்தான பங்களிப்பிற்காக அவர் இந்தியாவின் உண்மையான ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளராக அங்கீகரிக்கப்படுகிறார்.

சிரேஷ்ட பாரதத்தை (முதன்மையான இந்தியா) உருவாக்க இந்திய மக்கள் ஒன்றிணைந்து வாழ வேண்டும் என்று அவர் கேட்டுக் கொண்டார். 

அவர் நவீன அனைத்திந்திய சேவை அமைப்பை நிறுவியதால், அவர் 'இந்தியாவின் அரசு ஊழியர்களின் புரவலர் துறவி' என்றும் நினைவுகூரப்படுகிறார். குஜராத்தின் நர்மதா மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள கெவாடியாவில் ஒற்றுமை சிலை அவரது நினைவாக கட்டப்பட்டது.

RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS (NATIONAL UNITY DAY) 2023 - 31ST OCTOBER: In India, the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day is observed every year on October 31 since 2014, to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. 

This year marks the 146th anniversary of the great leader who played an instrumental role in India’s struggle for independence, and later during the integration of the country.

History Behind National Unity Day

RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS (NATIONAL UNITY DAY) 2023 - 31ST OCTOBER: Many people question why National Unity Day in India is celebrated. The Indian government first introduced the day in 2014 to pay tribute & mark the immense contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first-ever Rashtriya Ekta Diwas event with the theme “Run For Unity” in New Delhi. 

India is a land where we can find a commendable combination of various cultures, traditions, religions and languages. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel promoted the idea of unity during the time when the country was split into princely states & British India. Celebrating the day provides strength & resilience for the nation to form unity, integrity and security.

Significance 

RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS (NATIONAL UNITY DAY) 2023 - 31ST OCTOBER: The observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas depicts the nation’s strength and resilience by upholding unity, integrity and neighbourhood. Patel successfully persuaded all the 565 self-governing princely states to accede to India after getting independence from British colonial rule.

Not only this, but in honour of the extreme contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the government of India has also inaugurated the world’s tallest statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (182-meters) near the Narmada river in Gujarat to depict the strength of unity in India. It is known as the “Statue of Unity'' and is called the 8th wonder of the world. Indian sculptor Ram V. Sutar designed the statue.

Apart from this, in 2019, our PM Narendra Modi conducted the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge at the Statue of Unity and witnessed the National Unity Day parade by several police contingents of the nation to pay tribute to Patel. 

To celebrate the day, the government also organises the Sardar Patel National Unity Award to honour & mark the valuable contributions of individuals towards national unity & integrity. Schools & colleges organise a variety of cultural activities. Patel took his last breath on December 15, 1950, after suffering from a heart attack and poor health conditions. 

About Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

• He was born on 31st October 1875 in Nadiad, Gujarat.
• He was the first Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of independent India.
• He played an important role in the integration of many Indian princely states to make an Indian federation.
• At the time of independence, he played a key role in convincing several princely states to align with the Indian Union. He also worked hard as a social leader for the independence of India.
• Women of Bardoli bestowed the title ‘Sardar’ on Vallabhbhai Patel, which means ‘a Chief or a Leader’.
• He is recognized as the real unifier of India for his colossal contribution to integrate and make India a united (Ek Bharat) and an independent nation.
• He requested the people of India to live together by uniting in order to create Shresth Bharat (Foremost India).
• He is also remembered as the ‘Patron saint of India’s civil servants as he established the modern all-India services system.
• The Statue of Unity at Kevadiya in the Narmada district of Gujarat was built in his honour.
