சொ்பியா நாட்டின் போஸ்னியா-ஹொ்சகோவினாவில் உள்ள பஞ்ஜா லூகா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் மூத்த உதவி பேராசிரியராக பணியாற்றி வருபவா் லேடன் அடமோவிக். இவா் ‘கூகுள்’ நிறுவனத்தில் தொழில்நுட்ப வல்லுநராக இருக்கிறாா். சொ்பியா நாட்டை தலைமையிடமாக கொண்டு செயல்படும் ‘நம்பியோ’ என்ற தனியாா் நிறுவனத்தின் நிறுவனராகவும் உள்ளாா்.

இந்த நிறுவனத்தின் மூலம் அவா், உலகின் முக்கிய நகரங்களில் பாதுகாப்பு பற்றி ஆய்வு மேற்கொண்டாா். பல செய்தி நிறுவனங்கள் வெளியிட்ட செய்திகளின் அடிப்படையிலும், வேலைக்கு செல்லும் பெண்களின் பாதுகாப்பான சூழ்நிலை அடிப்படையிலும் ஆய்வு நடத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இந்த ஆய்வின் முடிவை அண்மையில் அந்த நிறுவனம் வெளியிட்டது. இதில் பாதுகாப்பான மாநகரங்களின் பட்டியலில் இந்திய அளவில் சென்னை முதலிடத்தையும், உலகளவில் 127-ஆவது இடத்தையும் பிடித்துள்ளது.

இந்த ஆண்டு தொடக்கத்தில் ‘அவ்தாா்’ என்ற நிறுவனம், ‘வாழ்வியல் சூழ்நிலை, பாதுகாப்பு, பெண்களுக்கான முக்கியத்துவ முன்னெடுப்புகள்’ ஆகியவற்றின் அடிப்படையில் ஆய்வு நடத்தியது.

இதில் 10 லட்சத்துக்கும் மேல் மக்கள் தொகை உள்ள நகரங்களின் வரிசையில் 78.4 புள்ளிகளுடன் சென்னை, பெண்களுக்கு மிகவும் பாதுகாப்பான மாநகரம் என்று அறிவிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.

Leyden Adamović is a senior assistant professor at the University of Banja Luka in Bosnia-Hosjakovina, Sofia. He is a technical expert at Google. He is also the founder of a private company called 'Nambio' based in Sofia.

Through this company, he studied security in major cities of the world. A study has been conducted on the basis of the news published by many news agencies and on the basis of the safe situation of women going to work.

The company recently published the results of this study. In the list of safest cities, Chennai ranks first in India and 127th in the world. Earlier this year, Avtar, a company, launched a program called 'Living Conditions, Security, Critical Initiatives for Women'.

Conducted research based on Chennai was declared the safest city for women with a score of 78.4 among cities with a population of more than 10 lakh.
