WORLD PNEUMONIA DAY 2023 - 12th NOVEMBER / உலக நிமோனியா தினம் 2023 - நவம்பர் 12: நிமோனியா, அதன் அறிகுறிகள், காரணங்கள் மற்றும் சிகிச்சை பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்த உலக சுகாதார அமைப்பு (WHO), UNICEF மற்றும் பல சர்வதேச அமைப்புகளால் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் நவம்பர் 12 அன்று உலக நிமோனியா தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. 

தடுக்கக்கூடிய மற்றும் சிகிச்சையளிக்கக்கூடிய நோயாக இருந்தாலும் ஐந்து வயதுக்குட்பட்ட குழந்தைகளின் இறப்புக்கான முக்கிய காரணங்களில் இதுவும் ஒன்றாகும். 

நிமோனியா உலகின் மிகப்பெரிய தொற்று கொலையாளி. உலக சுகாதார அமைப்பின் கூற்றுப்படி, இது ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் சுமார் 2.5 மில்லியன் மக்களின் உயிரைக் கொல்கிறது.

உலக நிமோனியா தினத்தின் முக்கியத்துவம்

WORLD PNEUMONIA DAY 2023 - 12th NOVEMBER / உலக நிமோனியா தினம் 2023 - நவம்பர் 12: உலக நிமோனியா தினம் COP-26, UNFCCC உடன் இணைந்தது. இதன் நோக்கம், சுகாதாரம், காற்றின் தரம் மற்றும் காலநிலை சமூகத்துடன் இணைந்து செயல்படும் சமூகங்களை ஒன்றிணைத்து நிமோனியாவைச் சமாளிப்பது ஆகும்.

நிமோனியா மற்றும் காற்று மாசுபாட்டின் பெரும் சுமைகளைக் கொண்ட அரசாங்கங்களை 2030 ஆம் ஆண்டிற்குள் காற்று மாசுபாடு தொடர்பான நிமோனியா இறப்புகளை 50% குறைக்க அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் அழைப்பதே எவ்ரி ப்ரீத் கவுண்ட்ஸ் கூட்டணியின் நோக்கமாகும்.

காலநிலை மற்றும் காற்று மாசுபாட்டின் சிக்கல்களைப் புரிந்துகொள்வதும், பிரச்சாரங்கள் மூலம் விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதும், நோயை எதிர்த்துப் போராடுவதற்கான உதவிகளை வழங்குவதும் இந்த நாளைக் கடைப்பிடிப்பதன் முக்கியத்துவம் ஆகும்.

WORLD PNEUMONIA DAY 2023 - 12th NOVEMBER: World Pneumonia Day is celebrated on November 12, every year by the World Health Organisation (WHO), UNICEF and several other international organisations to create awareness about Pneumonia, its symptoms, causes, and treatment. 

It is one of the leading causes of death in children under five years old despite being a preventable and treatable disease. Pneumonia is the world’s biggest infectious killer. According to WHO it claims the lives of around 2.5 million people every year.

History 

WORLD PNEUMONIA DAY 2023 - 12th NOVEMBER: World Pneumonia Day was established in 2009 by the Global Coalition against Child Pneumonia under the Stop Pneumonia Initiative. The Global Coalition against child pneumonia is an organisation based on the government, community-based, educational and 3 the proven approaches and solutions in need of additional resources and attention.

Significance of World Pneumonia Day

WORLD PNEUMONIA DAY 2023 - 12th NOVEMBER: The World Pneumonia Day coincided with COP-26, the UNFCCC.The objective of this is to tackle Pneumonia by bringing together the communities which work with the health, air quality and climate community.

The aim of Every Breath Counts coalition is to call on the governments with heavy burdens of pneumonia and air pollution to commit to reduce air pollution- relating pneumonia deaths by 50% by 2030.

The significance of observing the day is to understand the problems of climate and air pollution and to raise awareness through campaigns and provide aid to fight against the disease.

WORLD PNEUMONIA DAY 2023 - 12th NOVEMBER: World Pneumonia Day 2023 Theme is "Every Breath Counts: Stop Pneumonia in Its Track”. The theme Highlights the significance of every breath, and underscores the urgency of stopping pneumonia through early detection, treatment, and prevention.
