GLOBAL TERRORISM INDEX 2025 - GTI 2025 / உலகளாவிய பயங்கரவாத குறியீடு 2025: சர்வதேசப் பொருளாதார மற்றும் அமைதிக்கான மையம் (IEP) ஆண்டுதோறும், உலகின் 99.7 சதவீத மக்களை உள்ளடக்கிய 163 நாடுகளில் பயங்கரவாதத்தின் தாக்கத்தை ஆராய்ந்து உலகளாவிய பயங்கரவாத குறியீட்டினை (GTI) வெளியிட்டு வருகிறது. 

இதில், பயங்கரவாத தாக்குதல்களின் எண்ணிக்கை, உயிரிழப்புகள், காயமடைந்தோர் எண்ணிக்கை மற்றும் சொத்துச் சேதங்கள் போன்ற முக்கியமான அலகுகளாக கணக்கில் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்படுகின்றன. 

அந்த வகையில்தான், 2025ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான உலகளாவிய பயங்கரவாதக் குறியீடு தற்போது வெளியிடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

அதன்படி, 2011-ஆம் ஆண்டிற்குப் பிறகு பாகிஸ்தான் இந்தப் பட்டியலில் முதலிடத்தைப் பெற்றிருக்கிறது. இதற்கு, பாகிஸ்தான் தனது அண்டை நாடுகளுடன் கொண்டுள்ள சீர்குலைந்த உறவுகளும், தெஹ்ரீக்-இ-தாலிபன் பாகிஸ்தான் (டிடிபி) மற்றும் பலுசிஸ்தான் விடுதலை இராணுவம் (பிஎல்ஏ) ஆகியவற்றின் அதிகரித்து வரும் வன்முறையுமே காரணமாக இந்த அறிக்கையில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

தொடர்ந்து, பாகிஸ்தானில் 2025-ஆம் ஆண்டில் பயங்கரவாதத்தால் 1,139 பேர் உயிரிழந்துள்ளனர். இது முந்தைய ஆண்டைவிட 6 சதவிகிதம் அதிகமாகும். 2013-ஆம் ஆண்டிற்குப் பிறகு பாகிஸ்தானில் பயங்கரவாதம் தொடர்பான மரணங்களின் மிக உயர்ந்த எண்ணிக்கை இது எனவும் அந்த அறிக்கையில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

இதற்கு அடுத்தடுத்த இடங்களில் புர்கினா பாசோ, நைஜர், நைஜீரியா, மாலி, சிரியா, சோமாலியா உள்ளிட்ட நாடுகள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. இந்தியா 6.42 மதிப்பெண்களுடன் 13-ஆவது இடத்திலும், ஆப்கானிஸ்தான் 11ஆவது இடத்திலும், அமெரிக்கா 28-ஆவது இடத்திலும் இருக்கிறது. 

இந்தியாவில் 2025-ஆம் ஆண்டில், 142-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பயங்கரவாதம் தொடர்பான சம்பவங்கள், 100-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட உயிரிழப்புகள் மற்றும் 118 காயங்கள் ஏற்பட்டிருப்பதாக இந்த அறிக்கையில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

தொடர்ந்து, உலகம் முழுவதும் நடக்கும் அனைத்துத் தாக்குதல்களிலும் சுமார் 17 சதவீதத்திற்கு இஸ்லாமிய அரசும் (IS) அதன் துணை அமைப்புகளும் பொறுப்பாக இருப்பதால், 2026ஆம் ஆண்டிலும் அவையே மிகவும் கொடிய பயங்கரவாத அமைப்பாகத் தொடரும் என்று இந்த அறிக்கையில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

GLOBAL TERRORISM INDEX 2025 - GTI 2025: The Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) annually publishes the Global Terrorism Index (GTI), which analyzes the impact of terrorism across 163 countries, covering 99.7 percent of the world's population. 

In this assessment, key metrics such as the number of terrorist attacks, fatalities, the number of injured persons, and property damage are taken into account. In this context, the Global Terrorism Index for the year 2025 has now been released.

According to the report, Pakistan has topped this list for the first time since 2011. The report attributes this to Pakistan's deteriorating relations with its neighboring countries, as well as the escalating violence perpetrated by the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). Furthermore, the report indicates that 1,139 people lost their lives due to terrorism in Pakistan during 2025. 

This represents a 6 percent increase compared to the previous year. The report also notes that this marks the highest number of terrorism-related fatalities recorded in Pakistan since 2013.

Following closely behind are countries including Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria, Mali, Syria, and Somalia. India ranks 13th on the list with a score of 6.42, while Afghanistan stands at the 11th position and the United States at the 28th. 

The report states that in 2025, India witnessed over 142 terrorism-related incidents, resulting in more than 100 fatalities and 118 injuries. Furthermore, the report states that since the Islamic State (IS) and its affiliates are responsible for approximately 17 percent of all attacks occurring worldwide, they will continue to be the deadliest terrorist organizations in 2026 as well.
